WINE & BREWS
In 1882, Colonel William Farrand Prosser, special agent for the Department of the Interior, filed a land claim near the falls in the Yakima River. The new town site was called Prosser Falls.
Prosser has been the location of the Washington State University Irrigated Agricultural Research Extension Center since 1919.
With buildings dating back to the turn of the 20th century, it is easy to think of a historic district as caught in the past. Not so in Prosser!
